Flow Regulating Valves Specification

Flow regulating valves <50 mm shall be:-

1.    Bronze “Y” pattern globe valve giving modified equal percentage performance with characterized throttling disk and authority sufficient to regulate flow in circuits incorporating flow measurement devices.  Ends threaded to ASME B 1.20.1.  Double regulating feature set by Allen Key and valve operation by Microset handwheel having two holes to facilitate fitting of wire security seals. Disk with PTFE insert on sizes 25 mm and above.  Rated 20.7 bar; as Crane D 921AT or equal and approved.

Flow regulating valves >65 mm shall be:-

1.    Cast Iron “Y” pattern globe valve with characterized throttling disk and authority sufficient to regulate flow in circuits incorporating flow measurement devices.  Ends flanged to ASME B 16.1 Class 125 flat face.  Double regulating feature set by means of Allen Key and valve operation by Varnier type handwheel which has integral lugs to facilitate fitting of wire security seals.  Disk with PTFE insert.  Rated 13.8 bar; as Crane D A920 or equal and approved.
